In a recent episode of his “What Happened When” podcast, Tony Schiavone, the AEW announcer, brought up the intriguing car crash storyline with Darby Allin at Full Gear 2024. He also talked about the evolution of Kyle Fletcher, among other topics.

The podcast highlights are given below:

Speaking about Kyle Fletcher, Schiavone said: “We should also give credit where it’s due to Kyle Fletcher. His development has been exceptional, right? Of course, we’ve been aware of how wonderful Will Ospreay has been since he debuted. However, Kyle didn’t really dazzle us when he first joined. He was a tag team member, part of Aussie Open. But now, he has truly blossomed as a solo wrestler. It’s been incredible.”

Discussing the car crash storyline where Darby Allin played a part at Full Gear, he said: “I wouldn’t have been shocked to witness him fly through a car windshield, roll along the road and immediate spring back onto his skateboard. That’s the surprise factor of Darby. Never a dull moment. It’s like, ‘Oh wow, he’s tumbling from the Empire State Building.’ ‘He’ll recover. He’ll be okay.’ That’s just how Darby is, isn’t it?”
