In one of the recent episodes of the popular podcast “Legion of RAW”, Russo, the host, deliberated Rusev’s dramatic return and his surprise ambush on Alpha Academy. Russo stated,
“Bro, are you curious about the way they set it up? Here’s why: We have matches scheduled for the next two weeks. Otis and Tozawa are on the cards. Rusev is slated to feature in both the weeks. Mark my words now. We’ll likely see Tozawa in action in the first week, followed by Otis in the second. They’ve lined up consecutive victories for Rusev.”
Rusev made an unexpected appearance in the episode of WWE RAW following WrestleMania 41, subsequent to his release from All Elite Wrestling earlier this year.
Going by the alias Miro, Rusev had been a part of AEW since 2020, but was conspicuously absent from action in the final year of his tenure under Tony Khan.
