Former ROH owner Cary Silkin recently spoke on the WrestleMobs podcast about the status of the Ring of Honor brand, sharing that in his opinion, the last noteworthy event was the Supercard of Honor 2022.

Silkin shared an anecdotal story about the transition show (Supercard of Honor 2022), saying, “When Tony [Khan] acquired it, I attended that changing show. I got the opportunity to present the belts with FTR, good fellas. That was the last noteworthy Ring of Honor event. I have a bit of a tale from that show. Do you recall the extraordinary match between The Briscoes and FTR? I was told that when the Bucks enter at the end, if I present the belts to these guys, I should make it quick and exit the ring. I agreed easily. So with both Briscoes and FTR down, I climbed into the ring. Bobby Cruise handed me the belts, and I approached FTR. I knew delivering them the belts meant making it swift and then stepping out. As I started to move, Dax, still on the floor, held my arm. He asked me to raise their hands, and I obliged. The gesture was highly respectful, and he desired that moment. I suppose for him, having Cary Silkin raise their hands was important. It was truly a special moment. They’re good people.”

On another note, Mercedes Mone and Kamille attended the San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend. Mone even posted a video blog of her trip to the Comic-Con. She commented, “Witness Mercedes Moné accompanied by the newest member of her growing CEO corporation, Kamille at the convention. An attempt to frighten Dr. Britt Baker during a panel at AEW turned into something far more unexpected. On the second day, Jazware unveiled the first AEW action figure of Mercedes Moné. Tune in to find out more.”

The lineup for the upcoming episode of NWA Powerrr includes an NWA U.S. Tag Team Championship Match for Vacant Titles between The Fixers and Vampiro’s new disciples Daisy Kill & Talos, an NWA TV Championship Match featuring Max the Impaler (c) versus Ella Envy and a match between Alex Taylor & Thrillbilly Silas Mason and Jax Dane and Baron Von Storm.
