Shane McMahon Appointed Executive Chairman of Ideanomics

Shane McMahon has a new job title.
According to a new press release issued on Monday, Shane McMahon is now the Executive Chairman of the Board for Ideanomics, a global company “focused on the convergence of financial services and industries experiencing technological disruption.”
“We recently launched the transformation of Ideanomics as we vertically enter the exciting EV and hydrogen fuel cell space. We now have a powerful management team in place to ensure Ideanomics’ success,” said McMahon. “I’m proud of what the new team has achieved in such a short amount of time and more importantly, I am thrilled for what’s yet to quickly come. I look forward to helping the company’s growth, vision, and momentum stay on track as we enter this new phase for Ideanomics.”

Shane McMahon previously served as Vice Chairman and CEO of the company; prior to being called Ideanomics, the company operated under several names including Seven Stars Cloud Group, and You on Demand Holdings.
McMahon also recently worked for WWE as a producer and on-air talent, with his most recent match being a steel cage loss to Braun Strowman on night one of WrestleMania 37 in Tampa.
