Montel Vontavious Porter, also known as MVP, has recently made his debut on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, indicating his shift to the All Elite team. In a message he shared on Instagram, MVP hinted at the possibility of this move being the “final chapter” of his professional wrestling journey.
In his Instagram post, he said, “The cat’s finally out of the bag. As most of you probably already know, and those who don’t are about to discover, I’ve embarked on a thrilling new phase in my wrestling career. This new phase may very well be my last, and I’ve got a few exciting things planned. To all my long-time fans, stick around just a bit more. It’s the same old MVP, just operating in a different arena now. MVP now represents AEW. See you all next week.”
There’s news around another wrestler, Wardlow, who hasn’t surfaced on AEW TV since March. Matt Taven, his teammate from Undisputed Kingdom, revealed that it was due to a knee injury.
During an interview with “Stick To Wrestling,” Taven said, “Wardlow’s currently dealing with a knee injury. Speaking from personal experience, knee injuries can be quite tricky. They start off seeming like one thing, then appear to be something else, leading you to think you can manage by doing this or that but eventually, it turns out to be a more serious problem. I believe he’s trying to work out the best treatment strategy to deal with his knee issue and get back on track.”
