Drew McIntyre, the two-time former WWE Champion, won’t be vying for the World Championship at the 41st WrestleMania. This situation has left him deeply frustrated. During a recent episode of the “Adam’s Apple” podcast, McIntyre shared his disappointment about not participating in the title match, despite his stand-out performance in 2024. He said,
“Since I’m not in a world title match at WrestleMania, I know that in 2024, people were talking about me and CM Punk more than anyone—and I did 90% of that work. Good for Punk for being Punk, but Drew McIntyre was doing the heavy lifting there.
“So yeah, I’m angry about not being in the world title match. But I’m determined to make a difference. I’ll make sure there’s an engaging match, a gripping storyline people are engrossed in between now and WrestleMania, because I am Drew McIntyre.”
As of now, no match involving McIntyre at WrestleMania 41 has been announced, though it’s predicted he will be up against Damian Priest at the approaching pay-per-view event. This will be a rerun of their earlier match at WrestleMania, where Priest played his Money in the Bank contract against McIntyre.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that McIntyre didn’t think his feud with Priest was significant enough for WrestleMania. However, these concerns have since relaxed.
