Jey Uso Says Travis Scott Was ‘Too Damn Lit’ During Cody Rhodes Slap, More News

During WWE Elimination Chamber: Toronto, Cody Rhodes was slapped by rapper Travis Scott following a surprise turn by John Cena, who joined forces with The Rock.

Jey Uso, who is currently collaborating with Scott on WWE television, shared his thoughts on the situation in an episode of the “Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg” podcast.

“Wasn’t somebody supposed to instruct him on how to deliver a slap? He must have been too fired up. Had he slapped me that way? Absolutely not, I would have been shocked [looks up and shakes his head]. It felt like a hit from Sheamus.”

In a subsequent conversation with “MuscleMan Malcolm”, Robert Stone, WWE NXT Superstar, commented on the newly launched WWE EVOLVE brand. He shared his reasons on why he thinks fans will grow to appreciate it and much more.

Highlights from the interview are shared below:

On the inception of the WWE EVOLVE promotion: “The launch of this promotion is rather exciting as it not only presents a novel concept for a show, but is also built from scratch. I firmly believe that this show has the potential to exponentially grow, drawing the WWE fanbase to eventually fall in love with it. It’s a remarkable feeling to be a part of something from its inception. EVOLVE will cast a number of ambitious talent, indie wrestlers looking for a break, and even new recruits from the Performance Center, getting their first taste of wrestling on TV.”

On the WWE audience being part of this journey: “The fanbase is practically watching these men and women’s careers unfold. It’s fascinating to see how these seeds sprout and become potential WrestleMania headliners. Their journey starts with EVOLVE, allowing us to speculate and keep a watch on who’s going to be the next big star.”
