Giulia’s eagerly awaited appearance at WWE’s Performance Center and her first match in NXT: Heatwave 2024, set for July 7, was delayed due to a wrist injury she suffered the previous month.
Post undergoing surgery, Giulia was released from the hospital just a few days later. The professional wrestler from Japan is demonstrating good progress in her healing process.
According to reports from Tokyo Sports, Giulia has been authorised to take part in the forthcoming Marigold Summer Destiny event, to be hosted at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo.
This event, which is marked on the calendar for July 13, will host a double main event featuring Giulia facing off against Sareee and IYO SKY challenging Utami Hayashishita.
Moreover, Rossy Ogawa, the founder of Marigold, in a recent conversation, revealed that doctors have given Giulia the all-clear to return to the ring. He stated,
“We have received the official approval from the medical team, indicating the match with Saree can move ahead as planned… Everything is now in position, and all that remains is for the day to arrive.”
As previously reported here on eWn, expectations are high for Giulia to star in the forthcoming NXT pay-per-view event. There’s a possibility that she might make her maiden appearance at WWE during NXT: No Mercy 2024.
