Carmelo Anthony Calls Out Cody Rhodes For Not Giving Travis Scott A Receipt

Cody Rhodes, a prominent figure in WWE, was unfortunately injured during WWE Elimination Chamber: Toronto. This incident was reported following a legitimate hit to Rhodes’ head by Travis Scott.

Scott’s blow to Rhodes’s head became the pivotal point of the show, reportedly leading to a black eye and an eardrum injury.

In a recent episode of the “7 PM Brooklyn” podcast, former NBA player Carmelo Anthony voiced that Scott’s negligent action could possibly invite some serious repercussions.

Anthony posed the question, “Why did he hit the man that way? He was badly hurt. What made him think that was acceptable? WWE cleverly countered saying, ‘Yes, wrestling is actual.’ That guy was bleeding. He’s unable to hear. He had instructed him, ‘If you’re going to hit, hit it right.’ If I were in Cody Rhodes’ shoes, I would have broken character, gotten up, and called ‘Cut.’ Travis Scott is in for trouble. You can’t hit someone that hard. Firstly, you need to learn the correct way to hit someone. It’s not a straight downward hit, but a slight cuff to the ear. He was definitely overly excited.”

Additionally, Anthony expressed his dissatisfaction with Cena’s storyline twist.

Continuing, he said, “I didn’t appreciate the sudden change in his character. When Hulk Hogan made a similar shift, I was upset. As a fan, it was hurtful to witness. So, I understand why fans are upset with Cena’s change. He was a hero, the Captain America of wrestling. Now, he has grown weary of his denim shorts persona.”
