Welcome to yet another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!
We’re on the verge of TNA Bound for Glory 2024 happening tonight at Detroit’s Wayne State Fieldhouse, Michigan. Let’s have some fun and make predictions for the matches and take a shot at figuring out who will emerge victorious.
So the straightforward question today for you is “Who is your pick to win at TNA Bound for Glory?”
Please don’t forget to comment your answer below.
My Prediction
I confess I don’t continually follow TNA Wrestling content. Hence, my views may not be based on the recent developments or twists in Impact. Therefore, while setting up this question for you all, I’m just playing along. Please take my predictions with a pinch of salt and a large mug of “this guy is not an expert on these storylines.”
[Countdown to Bound for Glory] Xia Brookside & Brinley Reece vs. Ash by Elegance & Heather by Elegance
Although babyfaces seldom win in all pre-show matches across companies, I believe this is the easiest path. With an NXT Superstar involved, I predict Reece and Brookside will take the win.
[Countdown to Bound for Glory] 20-person Intergender Call Your Shot Gauntlet
With most participants yet to be announced, this match’s outcome is even more unpredictable. AJ Francis has an upper hand but isn’t likely to win. My wild prediction is the unannounced Dijak, who might surprise us all by winning.
Monster’s Ball Match for the TNA Digital Media Championship and Canadian International Heavyweight Wrestling Championship: PCO (c) vs. Matt Cardona
This one is a hard call without knowing the progression of this storyline since the last event along with its players such as Steph De Lander. My guess is PCO retaining since the Canadian title is at stake, and Cardona plays a timid heel. But TNA might turn the tables, and Cardona might take the victory with external help.
Mike Santana vs. Moose
I will bet on Moose when unsure. He has more wins under his belt and unless Santana is being presented as the next world title contender, he could lose and follow in the footsteps of others. Typically, when I bet against Moose, I’m off the mark.
Three-Way Full Metal Mayhem Match for the TNA World Tag Team Championship: The System (Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards) (c) (with Alisha Edwards) vs. The Hardys (Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy) vs. ABC (Ace Austin and Chris Bey)
Considering it’s Bound for Glory and there might be fewer such opportunities, my money’s on The Hardy Boyz walking away as the tag title winners. Their win would sway the crowd, and they don’t need to hold onto the belts for long.
Tag Team Match for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship: Spitfire (Jody Threat and Dani Luna) (c) vs. Rosemary and Wendy Choo
For this match, I predict the tag titles will remain with Spitfire. While it would be intriguing to see an NXT Superstar walking away with the gold in TNA during such an exchange, I don’t believe Wendy Choo will be the one, considering her recent plot angle in NXT.
Singles Match for the TNA X Division Championship: Mike Bailey (c) vs. El Hijo del Vikingo
My bet is on Vikingo; if TNA is trying to bring him on board, offering a championship is a bonus. While I’d love to see him in WWE, I won’t be shocked if he signs a short-term contract with TNA.
Josh Alexander vs. Steve Maclin
Flip a coin for this one. With Joshy’s contract ending in February and him exploring free agency, one could argue that it’s smarter for Maclin to win this.
Singles Match for the TNA Knockouts World Championship: Jordynne Grace (c) vs. Masha Slamovich
Jordynne Grace will soon jump ship to WWE, so the prudent guess would be that she will retain. They still have two to three months to select the next champion, and I believe it won’t be Slamovich.
Singles Match for the TNA World Championship (with special guest ref Frankie Kazarian): Nic Nemeth (c) vs. Joe Hendry
While Joe Hendry teased a Royal Rumble appearance, it doesn’t mean he will leave the TNA. My bet is on Hendry winning the title.
