Take Your First Look At WWE’s New ThunderDome In Tropicana Field
World Wrestling Entertainment is in the process of building the second iteration of the WWE ThunderDome, which sadly doesn’t have an even more ridiculous name like “ThunderDome 2: Electric Boogaloo” or “2 Thunder 2 Dome.”
Thanks to My News 13’s Jon Alba, we have a first look at the WWE ThunderDome inside Tropicana Field. Take a look at it below, but remember that it isn’t finished just yet as it won’t be used tonight. The Amway Center is hosting its final WWE ThunderDome show tonight, so it will be first used on Friday for WWE SmackDown.

Tropicana Field, which has the fun nickname “The Trop,” is located in St. Petersburg, Florida. It’s a baseball stadium primarily used by the Tampa Ray Bays. It opened in 1990 and is quite the fitting home for the ThunderDome as it was called the ThunderDome when the Tampa Bay Lightning used to use it.
