Randy Orton Defeats Ali Despite His Valiant Effort
At WWE Hell in a Cell, Ali renewed his rivalry with Randy Orton. During WWE Hell in a Cell Kickoff, the Viper reminded Ali of how he was responsible for Ali’s injury earlier this year. Ali then challenged Orton to a match. Orton won after the competitive contest with an RKO.

Orton used his experience advantage to counter Ali’s speed. The Viper suplexed Ali twice onto an announce table. Orton continued to ground Ali but Ali dropped the Viper with a dropkick. After Orton sent Ali sprawling into the ring post, he regained control. Ali rallied and took Orton down with a dive to the outside. Ali earned a two count after a facebuster. A tornado DDT planted Orton but he dodged a 450 splash and took control again. Ali countered the RKO into a handstand but Orton dropped him with it after a second attemp to win the match.
