In a recent dialogue with Screen Rant, Nia Jax, the WWE Women’s Champion, talked about her triumph over Bayley at the WWE SummerSlam 2024.

Nia Jax is prepared to defend her crown at WWE Bad Blood 2024, which is slated for next month. The identity of her challenger will be uncovered in a tag team match on the forthcoming episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Nia Jax is slated to join forces with Tiffany Stratton to compete against Bayley and Naomi.

If Jax is defeated, the person who defeats her receives a title opportunity at WWE Bad Blood 2024. However, if Jax and Stratton are successful, the one who gets defeated must bid farewell to SmackDown.

Below are some key takeaways from the interview:

Regarding her WWE Women’s Title triumph: “When I claimed the title for the first time, it was a magnificent moment. It was against Alexa Bliss. Recalling that terrific storyline, I never anticipated the victory. It was a genuine surprise. That was a period when Rhonda was making her entrance and a lot of things were happening; thusly, I didn’t quite absorb the essence of that moment.”

On why her most recent title victory holds greater significance to her: “My recent title win holds a distinctive place in my heart not just because I also won the Queen of the Ring tournament, an exceptional platform showcasing impressive WWE talents, but also because I had a chance to compete against Bayley, my decade-old competitor, at SummerSlam and take the title from her. This victory has given me immense joy and time to understand its worth, which makes it special compared to my initial victory.”

How the Queen of the Ring victory was a tougher achievement compared to winning the title: “To me, Queen of the Ring, given its tournament nature and different brackets, was more intense. I had to compete against multiple top-tier women in the division, such as Naomi, Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair, and Lyra Valkyria. Despite the hardships, competing against Bayley, a seasoned veteran in the game, made the victory even sweeter.”

Her take on her character versus her real persona: “It’s not about balancing, it’s about being Nia Jax, a heighten version of my real self, with which audience can connect. It seems to have worked so far as fans seem to enjoy my character. I don’t try to balance anything because I don’t want to portray something that audiences can’t relate to.”
