Following his WrestleMania 41 encounter with Randy Orton, Joe Hendry returned to WWE NXT.
Amid a fervent in-ring argument between Trick Williams and NXT World Champion Oba Femi, the crowd burst into cheers as the TNA World Champion made an unexpected entrance.
Hendry addressed Williams, stating that he’s lost his spark and his failure to regain the NXT Championship is due to his sense of entitlement and shortfall of his previous passion. Tensions rose when Williams threatened Hendry and found himself on the receiving end of a thrashing from both Hendry and Femi, ending up being thrown out of the ring.
Hendry and Femi, the current champions of NXT and TNA respectively, then stood in front of each other, hinting at a possible showdown.
