On a recent edition of “Talk Is Jericho”, wrestling legend Scott Steiner provided insights on his come back into WWE back in 2002 and expressed his amusement on the positive reception he received from the audience.
Do have a look at some key highlights from the conversation below:
About his WWE comeback: “My entrance music lit up, I headed out and took down Matt Hardy and Nowinski. Even Howard Finkel approached me and commented, ‘Guy, that was one of the most thunderous cheers I’ve ever witnessed. To be honest, I was slightly taken aback by such a response. So, I wondered, ‘This is fantastic. There isn’t much need for a push as they are well aware of my persona.'”
On perceived bias treatment: “Sadly, everyone from WCW felt suppressed, and I was no exception.”
On a recent episode of her “Power Alphas” podcast, another fellow alumnus from WWE, Mandy Rose, offered her thoughts on Jey Uso’s successful stint in WWE thus far.
Here are some riveting points from the podcast:
About Jey Uso’s career graph: “It brings me joy to know how far he [Jey] has reached. Literally, everyone across the board, including Big E, highlighted his progress post-match chat, on the panel. Essentially observing his growth is quite commendable. He was never the ‘superstar,’ when considered. His tag team with his sibling, Jimmy, was unarguably amazing. Observing his skyward success trajectory … that man is loved. I can’t recall the last time I saw someone cherished as much as he is. His merch sales are skyrocketing. Rumour has it that his catchphrase Yeet has essentially turned into a meme.”
Uso instigating change: “Credit where it’s due, as I adore narratives like such. I genuinely appreciate people who, all of a sudden, rise to the occasion. They accomplished it on their own merit. They didn’t have the company’s overwhelming support, contrasting others who are excessively promoted.”
