In a recent development, Eric Young of TNA Wrestling has expressed his optimism that TNA’s collaboration with WWE will bloom into an alliance that accrues advantages to both parties.

Moving into 2024, a new partnership has emerged between WWE and TNA, marked by the appearances of Jordynne Grace, Frankie Kazarian, and Joe Hendry on the WWE NXT platform.

TNA reciprocate with NXT’s Tatum Paxley making a special appearance in TNA’s Against All Odds 2024. However, her attempt to challenge Grace for the prominent TNA Knockouts World Championship was unsuccessful.

In a chat with Jim Varsallone from the Miami Herald, Eric Young expressed positive thoughts about the newly budded collaboration. His words were,

“There’s a tangible benefit for the general scene of pro wrestling from collaborations like this. There’s no discernible reason why companies can’t operate in harmony for everyone’s benefit. I think we’re witnessing the initial stages of this becoming a reality. This is barely a glimpse of what lies ahead. Naturally, WWE holds a significant back hand as they’re the key players in the game, which is well-deserved considering they’ve been in the field for long. I am in continuous cordial relations with Hunter (Triple H), although less frequently than preferred. He’s someone whose respect I hold in high regard, and the difference in the product under his governance is noticeable.”

He further added:

“In cooperation with AJ [Styles], my venture to Japan to work with [NOAH], the in-progress deal between TNA and NXT, I imagine that this will burgeon into bigger endeavors. There’s no reason for it not to. Despite lacking control over the outcomes, I fully back it. I had prior knowledge about it before it even began, it’s an exhilarating observation since pro wrestling aficionados are the primary beneficiaries, and that’s what we should all focus upon.”

Eric Young had previously been a part of WWE from 2016 to 2020 before making a comeback in 2022 and leaving again without making an appearance on TV.

Post his WWE tenure, Young came back to TNA Wrestling and has vocalized that his departure was influenced by differences with Vince McMahon.
