During a recent episode of the podcast “Busted Open Radio”, WWE legend Bully Ray shed light on Kevin Owens’s surprise assault on Cody Rhodes following WWE Bad Blood 2024.
Bully Ray also communicated his thoughts on the triumphant win of Cody and Roman Reigns over Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
Some key points made during the podcast are highlighted as follows:
When recounting the compelling main event at Bad Blood, Bully Ray stated, “A particular moment during the match had me on the edge of my seat, primarily because of the dramatic effect achieved through brilliant camera work and a masterful production shot. Remember the scene when Cody attempted to tag Roman and it seemed like Roman stepped off the apron? That had me exclaiming, ‘Oh no,’ but it soon dawned on me that the villains had forced him off. That instant had me believing, albeit momentarily, that Roman had betrayed Cody.”
Commenting on Kevin Owens’s unexpected attack on Cody Rhodes, he said, “There’s clear tension between the two. Kevin has been rather disturbed by Cody recently. The situation erupted post-Bad Blood. Kevin confronted Cody near his tour bus, made his move, and took a shot at Cody. Fans witnessed it, social media caught wind of it, and the sphere ran with the story. I relished the way they took the wrestling fans worldwide by surprise.”
Discussing how the entire scene unfolded, he remarked, “You didn’t need any commentary to understand what was going on. People were thinking, ‘Is there a spat happening? Kevin seems very angry, I think Kevin’s going to…’ and then out of nowhere, came the punch.”
