Lex Luger makes it clear that Kevin Nash’s victory for the WWE Title in 1994 didn’t trigger any jealousy in him.
Nash, who competed under the name Diesel, became the reigning champ after Luger’s unsuccessful bid for the championship title.
On a recent installment of his podcast, “Lex Expressed”, Luger was questioned about his emotions towards Nash’s successful claim to the top spot and title.
Luger’s response was unequivocal: “None at all. I was over the moon for Kevin. I firmly believe he made an excellent World Champion. His success and opportunity were met with nothing but joy from my side.”
Nash maintained the title for almost a year, having held it from November 26, 1994, until Bret Hart defeated him at Survivor Series 1995.
On a fresh episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Bully Ray critically dissected The New Day’s villainous promo directed at Big E, pinpointing a certain incident that contributed to their transition to antagonists.
In his analysis, Ray asserts: “The New Day are making light of Big E’s severe neck injury, insinuating it’s not serious enough to prevent him from reaching out to them…They cite some of the most well-known instances of neck injuries in wrestling. ‘Why couldn’t you recover? Or why couldn’t you connect with us, Big E? Stone Cold [Steve Austin], Edge, and Kurt Angle all suffered similar injuries and made their comebacks. Why not you? Is it because you think you’re too superior? Now that you’re a ‘suit’, do you find us beneath you?’ They believe they’re completely reasonable and it exudes the animosity we feel.”
Ethan Page is disheartened after his unsuccessful pursuit of the North American Championship on the recent WWE NXT episode.
The episode showcased Tony D’Angelo proposing a title match to Page, which the latter accepted despite his initial skepticism about its importance.
The match ended with D’Angelo retaining his championship title with a spinebuster.
Page later indicated his dissatisfaction while exiting the arena, as he felt that he deserved a situation better than what he was currently enduring or had endured in the past, and he hinted at feeling directionless.
Page expressed disillusionment with his moniker “All Ego” and conveyed uncertainty about how to reclaim his journey to the NXT Championship, ending with a clear sense of desolation and humiliation as he walked away.
