Welcome back to another Monday Morning Q&A where I toss out some questions to get a feel of how you guys and gals are feeling about certain topics.

So here are 5 questions I’d like to toss out for this week. I’ll give my answers, too, but the key here is that I want to know what YOU think! So make sure you chime in!

1) CM Punk is back in WWE. How do you feel about it? Is there a sense of pending doom with him being a bad influence on the roster? Are you super pumped for some upcoming feuds he could have? Happy? Sad? What are your thoughts?

I’m of many different opinions. When he originally left WWE, I was more so on his side. With the lawsuit stuff, I grew to think he was just being a diva. When he went to AEW, I was on the fence, but I thought it was really cool. Eventually, he gave me the vibe that he was overrated in the ring and not worth the hassle behind the scenes, from all that was happening.

So coming to WWE is both a blessing and a curse. I’m very interested to see what he has to offer, but I’m hesitant to trust that he’s not going to rub some people the wrong way, potentially cause more strife in the locker room, and, naturally, fall short of his in-ring capabilities and maybe even suffer another unfortunate injury.

I have to hope that he’s going to be on his best behavior AND that he’ll be healed up enough. With that in mind (and with a grain of salt and heavy speculation that it’ll all work out), I’m excited to see what’s in store. I think we’re going to see Punk win the Royal Rumble and beat Rollins in the main event of night 1 of WrestleMania 40 as a babyface after Rollins turns heel, and that in and of itself is a neat idea.

2) With Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley and others reacting to Punk’s return negatively (kayfabe or not), who are you most interested to see that story going forward?

The McIntyre thing is particularly interesting to me.

Rollins was an obvious hurdle that will need to be sorted out, after he called Punk a cancer that he didn’t want in his locker room. Did they hash out their differences, or is this a “best for business, ignore it, but I do hate you” type professionalism, or is Rollins someone who could end up creating a fuss?

Ripley, I’d imagine, is just there for the ride. I’ve never heard of anything that would suggest she’d be super offended about Punk joining the company or whatever.

But the McIntyre thing…what’s that about? Is this just a story of him being mad at The Judgment Day for failing, and his heel turn is very much “I can’t trust anyone not to be an obstacle in my path back to the top”, and they’re doing a good job creating buzz? Or is he legitimately upset about something in WWE and actually left the building pissed? I’m SUPER curious what’s going on there, and I don’t have any ideas set in stone of what I think could be the next step of that situation.

3) Do you think we’ll get AJ Lee returning to WWE now that Punk is on the roster?

I sure hope so. AJ Lee was one of my favorites when she was around. Not only could she hold her own on the mic, and not only did I think she was incredibly cute, but she clearly had an influence on a generation of talent to come with people like Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade. Either teaming up with them or facing them opposite the ring, I’d like to see at least an association with those three. But AJ Lee being part of anything in the women’s division is a bonus that I’m hoping will come about now.

Then again, we haven’t seen Brandi since Cody Rhodes came back to WWE. Maybe that’s a sign that the same will carry over and we won’t see Lee.

4) The Young Bucks filed trademarks for “Superdick Party” and “KTB Wrestling” this week. In what fashion do you think those will be used?

My immediate thought—which, admittedly, is a pretty far conclusion to jump to—was thinking that The Young Bucks want to run a show on their own outside of AEW. They would call their wrestling company KTB Wrestling and their show’s name would be Superdick Party, akin to WWE presents Survivor Series.

That could be their attempt to distance themselves a bit from how AEW has changed since Tony Khan’s gone from financial backer to clear 100% ultimate man in charge. The company looks and feels a lot different from its origins and maybe The Young Bucks want to tap back into that “rebellious indie meta-joke” aspect that they like that is more absent from AEW now than ever before.

Alternatively, it could just be that their heel characters are going to tease something along those lines. They’re jerks, so instead of the Superkick Party, they’re going to run a Superdick Party all over the roster and act like dickheads. KTB Wrestling, though, still throws me off. I don’t know how that could be used on television with a heel turn.

5) Now that we know the participants across the board, who do you think will win the Blue League and Gold League of the AEW Continental Classic and wrestle in the final at Worlds End?

That whole idea of the Triple Crown Championship is confusing me. I don’t know what they’re doing with that, but the very idea that it exists in here and Eddie Kingston is the current ROH world champion and NJPW Strong Openweight champion makes me think he has to go to the finals, or that it’s been booked VERY strangely.

With that in mind, that would mean he would have to win the Blue League, which goes against my other idea that I was leaning toward Bryan Danielson being in the final. Both are in the same block. They can’t both go to the final.

That means I’m forced to think about who could go up against Kingston or who could go up against Danielson, if by some means, the semi-final to determine the Blue League winner ends up being Danielson beating Kingston for a shocker, which I don’t count out.

If this is as straightforward as “Kingston has to go to the final, if not win it”, then I think he wins the Blue League and goes up against Swerve Strickland and beats him. Originally, I thought Mox, but I think we’ll see Jon Moxley against Orange Cassidy at this event again to settle their rubber match.

If it is Danielson, then I think he goes up against Jay White and loses.

Even then, though, who’s to say the game plan isn’t just to have Danielson as this Triple Crown champion defending his titles against Kazuchika Okada so that Okada wins it and can travel between the three companies? New Japan does have a say in who wins this, rather than just Tony Khan for AEW and ROH. Is that the end game?

At the very least, I don’t think we’ll see the tournament going to Jay Lethal, Mark Briscoe, Rush, Brody King, Claudio Castagnoli, Andrade El Idolo, Daniel Garcia or Jon Moxley. The other names (White/Strickland vs Danielson/Kingston), I’m bouncing around between.
