In the Netflix mini-series “Mr. McMahon”, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus spoke out regarding the infamous “bark like a dog” episode that transpired during the build-up to Wrestlemania X-7 in 2001.

Stratus was working with Vince McMahon at the time of the incident. McMahon harnessed his influence to coerce Stratus into shedding her clothes and imitating the barking sound of a dog.

Notwithstanding the demeaning incident, Stratus later found an opportunity to payback McMahon at WrestleMania.

When commenting on the incident, Stratus stated, “With the barking like a dog segment, they want me to be like [exhales] ‘it was horrible,’ but that’s exactly the feeling we wanted you to feel. Don’t you get it? We knew we were presenting a sensitive scene to the fans. We knew it was gonna be talked about, and be interpreted and misinterpreted. We were aware of that. The thing is, when we did that scene, we knew the comeuppance would come at WrestleMania.”

The docuseries “Mr. McMahon” is made up of six one-hour episodes and it sheds light on various accusations of sexual harassment that have been leveled against McMahon over time.
