A pair of new faces made their first appearances in WWE on the recent episode of NXT that aired this week.
The show presented a behind-the-scenes segment featuring Shawn Spears and Brooks Jensen, who intervened in the middle of Tony D’Angelo’s meal. In a perplexing move, Spears initiated a verbal confrontation with D’Angelo centered on his relentless quest for the NXT North American Championship. Interestingly, it was Jensen, not Spears, whom he positioned to challenge D’Angelo.
Once the two athletes left the eating venue, Spears told Jensen, “that’s how you handle a boss,” as they got into a car driven by someone named Niko.
Niko, whose real name is Skylor Clinton, has had a previous career in football with the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks. His NXT Live career kicked off in earnest in May 2023, wherein he has participated in NXT Level Up and WWE Main Event.

In another segment of the show, Ava had an intense interaction with the tag team division players and challenged them to prove their worth for a title shot. During this, Josh Briggs was noticed to suspiciously exit the room. He was later seen in Ava’s office, in conversation with Yoshiki Inamura, discussing their meeting in Japan.
Ava was led to presume that Briggs was seeking her permission to join forces with Inamura and strive for the tag team title. But this speculation was abruptly interrupted by Eddy Thorpe, who also had some requests of his own and was rewarded with an Iron Survivor Challenge qualifying match.
Inamura, a member of Pro Wrestling NOAH, had previously paired with Briggs in their N-1 Victory tournament, where he was defeated by Briggs.
