Charlotte Flair, during a recent interaction with PEOPLE at the 2025 WWE Hall of Fame event, shared insights regarding her latest divorce from Andrade, her forthcoming plans after the WrestleMania 41, and much more.
Here are some significant points from the interaction:
Her thoughts regarding discussing her divorce: “It indeed made me feel a bit vulnerable. However, it felt as if one heavy burden has been removed, because ‘Charlotte’ was always needed to be impeccable without giving people any chance to differentiate between the character and my real life.”
Talking about her real life: “Thus, expressing these things, which have been indeed tough for me, like ‘this is me, accept me as I am’, seems liberating. It feels that there is no longer an urgent need to camouflage or fret about ‘what will the day unfold?’ or during an interview ‘whether the questioner will probe into it and force me to diverge onto something else?’ It represents the real me. And indeed, it feels liberating.”
Determining to showcase more of her realism beyond WrestleMania 41: “After the WrestleMania, I believe I will delve more into that and try my best to bring my real self – Ashley, into Charlotte, because ‘Charlotte’ as a character often appears unrelatable. In reality, if not present here right now, I would have been in my sweatpants relishing old episodes of Sex and the City. Yet, I believe there is a need to expose parts of my real life, showcasing that even after being this tough, dominant figure for all these years, I can still connect with the young audience while walking down the aisle.”
In a sit-down with Denise Salcedo prior to WrestleMania 41, Charlotte Flair ventured into the rumored comeback of WWE Evolution and the blossoming talent in the females’ division.
Key points from the podcast:
About the potential comeback of WWE Evolution: “Like, I often catch wind of such rumors, so, given it’s been, you know, couple of years, I believe now it would be appropriate to [reinitiate it]. But essentially, in general, it’s all about integrating more women-centric narratives and main events.”
About the diverse experiences of emerging women wrestlers: “The amalgamation of seasoned and unseasoned talents, and then the inception of Tiffany [Stratton] roughly a year ago, the rise of Roxanne [Perez], [Sol Ruca] clinching the Speed title? All these seem fantastic.”
