Following the announcement of the ‘I Quit’ match for the WWE Championship featuring Cody Rhodes vs AJ Styles as part of WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland, yet another title bout has been confirmed for the esteemed event.
Marking the May 20, 2024 episode of Monday Night RAW, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark emerged victorious in a high-stakes Fatal 4-Way confrontation against Maxxine Dupri & Ivy Nile, Damage CTRL, and Katana Chance & Kayden Carter. This victory earned the duo an opportunity to vie for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, the timing of which was in the air until it was recently announced for Clash at the Castle 2024.
However, the plot thickens further.
On the most recent Monday Night RAW, Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn escalated tensions by attacking Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill, asserting their own claims for a chance at the belts.
Subsequently on WWE SmackDown, after the reigning champions Belair and Cargill overpowered Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell, they found themselves under attack from Fyre and Dawn, along with the opportunistic Baszler and Stark.
In a subsequent backstage interaction, the interviewed champs, Belair and Cargill, shared with Byron Saxton that they discussed their upcoming title defence with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. The result? A gripping Triple Threat match at WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland.
This highly anticipated showdown will pit the reigning titles’ holders against the pairs of Baszler & Stark and Fyre & Dawn.
