Here’s the thought-provoker I have for you today: “What are your anticipations for NXT Great American Bash Week 1?”

Keep it simple and straight to the point. Don’t forget to leave your views in the comments section below.

Here are my predictions…

Without a shred of doubt, Roxanne Perez will successfully defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Thea Hail. Considering hitters such as Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer poised to enter the game, Perez is holding the title for one of them. While Hail is a formidable opponent and severely overlooked in my opinion, I don’t see many betting on her.

In a similar vein, The Unholy Union will defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship successfully. It’s hard to believe Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn will surrender those titles to a team from NXT, particularly when the contenders are Meta-Four. Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson are clearly not ready to compete at the main roster level and take on elite teams from Raw and SmackDown. If they wouldn’t make such a gamble with more seasoned women in the past, they won’t roll the dice on these two.

The only potential change in the title could be with Tavion Heights winning the NXT Heritage Cup, but I won’t bank on it. My wrestling intuition tells me that while Heights would put a fierce fight against Tony D’Angelo, he would eventually lose. With Charlie Dempsey leading the No Quarter Catch Crew (at this point), he seems likelier to be the next champion. Nonetheless, don’t discount Heights just yet. He’s an Olympian, and it would be strategic for WWE to give him a championship during the Olympics to enjoy some media attention. Plus, a Heritage Cup win wouldn’t massively affect its legacy, and Heights is far from unimpressive. Maybe this match signifies a turning point in his career. And as for Tony D, a single loss won’t mean much in the grand scheme of things—his bounce-back ability is strong.

Lastly, my money’s on Karmen Petrovic, Lola Vice and Sol Ruca overpowering Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx. To the best of my memory, there’s no ongoing feud between anyone else which could affect this outcome.
