Just a week before their Street Fight on the upcoming CW Network WWE NXT premiere, Wes Lee and Zachary Wentz made appearances in a dynamic split-screen promo segment, trading verbal jabs at one another.
In a move to rile Wentz up, Lee questioned the wellbeing of Trey Miguel, whom he had previously assaulted, sidelining him for a while. Wentz retorted, “You flew to Ohio and jumped your brother in the parking lot because you’re a little btch. But he’s about to watch me beat the fck out of you. But what’s with the separate rooms? Huh? Are you scared?”
Lee counter-argued, “This is for your own protection so I do not end you before we even get to Chicago.”
Wentz didn’t back down, quipping, “Hold on, hold on. If memory serves me right, oh yeah, that’s right, I beat the f*ck out of you at No Mercy.”
To which Lee replied, “And this time, you will not have Trey. It’s gonna be be just like the hotel in Detroit where I put your ass through the drywall when you tried to buck up to me.”
Wentz dared to challenge his statement, simply saying, “We both know that’s not what happened.”
In the end, Lee, trying to unsettle Wentz more, warned, “Look. Stop. This is the last bit of brotherly advice that I will ever give you, so shut the f*ck up and listen. Next week, just make sure that Gigi doesn’t watch.”
This really provoked Wentz, who declared furiously, “What did you just say? What the fck did you just say? Keep my fiancee’s name out of your fcking mouth.”
Despite being in separate rooms, the tension hit a fever pitch when Lee antagonized Wentz by continuously uttering Gigi’s name and prodding him to start a fight. Wentz accepted the challenge and the two wrestlers being exchanged a few hot-tempered blows before officials stepped in to break them apart.
WWE shared the heated incident on Twitter, with the caption – “This was WILD. @WesLee_WWE and @ZacharyWentz did not mince words…#WWENXT” and dropped the scene on September 25, 2024.
