Before their scheduled Street Fight on the upcoming CW Network debut of WWE NXT, Wes Lee and Zachary Wentz engaged in an intense split-screen promotional exchange to increase their rivalry.
Trying to provoke Wentz, Lee referenced his attack on Trey Miguel weeks prior, an event that had left Miguel sidelined. Wentz retorted, “You flew to Ohio and jumped your brother in the parking lot because you’re a little btch. But he’s about to watch me beat the fck out of you. But what’s with the separate rooms? Huh? Are you scared?”
Lee fired back, “This is for your own protection so I do not end you before we even get to Chicago.”
Undeterred, Wentz chimed in, “Hold on, hold on. If memory serves me right, oh yeah, that’s right, I beat the f*ck out of you at No Mercy.”
Coolly, Lee responded, “And this time, you will not have Trey. It’s gonna be just like the hotel in Detroit where I put your ass through the drywall when you tried to buck up to me.”
Wentz disputed that account, stating, “We both know that’s not what happened.”
With a final warning, Lee declared, “Look. Stop. This is the last piece of brotherly advice that I will ever give you, so shut the f*ck up and listen. Next week, just ensure that Gigi doesn’t watch.”
Wentz exploded with rage, retorting, “What did you just say? What the fck did you just say? Keep my fiancee’s name out of your fcking mouth.”
The tension hit fever pitch when Lee insistently repeated Gigi’s name and challenged Wentz to a fight. Surprisingly, Wentz accepted his challenge, leading to a fierce altercation that eventually required officials to separate them.
Their heated exchange even made its way to social media, with WWE’s official twitter handle posting a tweet: “This was WILD 😳@WesLee_WWE and @ZacharyWentz did not mince words…#WWENXT” posted on September 25, 2024.
