During a recent episode of “Insight” podcast, professional wrestler Max Caster of The Acclaimed squad addressed some queries about his current social media posts asserting his disinterest in having Shelton Benjamin join the AEW.
Subsequently, Caster clarified his standpoint about cultivating an inviting and affirmative atmosphere within the realm of AEW, stating,
“What’s he going to do? Take up my TV time? I recall a significant lesson from the time when I was in the process of signing with AEW. QT Marshall, someone I hold in high regard for his wrestling prowess and integrity, had made a phone call to me, intimating that ‘Tony would like you to join.’ My initial response had been skepticism, questioning if it was merely a jest. Marshall’s response was, ‘As a wrestler myself, I’d prefer if you didn’t join us because that would mean occupying a spot that I crave.’ I remember thinking, ‘That was quite blunt.’”
Just a fortnight ago, Caster emerged victorious with his tag team cohort Anthony Bowens in the AEW Collision event, overcoming the duo known as The Grizzled Young Veterans.
Caster then expressed his sentiment on Twitter saying, “We don’t want him!” regarding Benjamin’s potential inclusion in AEW.
