Vince McMahon, together with WWE, has come together with Linda McMahon to submit motions to nullify a lawsuit raised by five former WWF ring boys accusing them of abuse that allegedly took place during the 1980s. Although the lawsuit was lodged in Maryland, all three parties contend the suit ought to be dropped due to an absence of jurisdiction over the case.

Their briefs assert that none of the complainants originate from Maryland and that WWE, Vince, and Linda McMahon do not have notable affiliations with the state. They maintain the plaintiffs are trying to manipulate the recently enacted Maryland Child Victims Act of 2023, designed to resurrect old alleged abuse claims.

Vince McMahon strongly refutes any knowledge or association with the claimed abuse. WWE and TKO, the parent company of WWE, present an argument stating that they are being mistakenly held responsible for the conduct of the non-existent WWF, without the proper claim of “successor liability” asserted. They emphasize that the complaint explicitly states that the plaintiffs were recruited and remunerated straight by former worker Mel Phillips, not by WWE.

The date for the hearing on these motions has not yet been identified.
