Humberto Carrillo suffered an injury scare this week on WWE RAW during a match with Sheamus.
When “The Celtic Warrior” came crashing down on Carrillo’s knee, fans immediately worried that Carrillo suffered an injury.
In an update, Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Carrillo is okay, and that he could wrestle right now if he had to.
“For those who asked, the original finish for Sheamus vs. Humberto Carrillo last night was for Sheamus to go over,” wrote Johnson. “Obviously, they stopped the match when the sunset flip powerbomb spot went awry.
“We are told Carrillo is fine and will only miss ring time if the company decides to sell an injury coming out of the bout. He would be fine to wrestle immediately if needed.”
Johnson’s report also states that initial plans called for Mansoor to appear on the show, but creative changes led to this spot being dropped. Additionally, Johnson reports that though Velveteen Dream was backstage at WWE RAW, he was never scheduled to appear on the show.
