Tyson Fury’s Promoter Says Boxer’s WWE Stint Is Risky
Tyson Fury is set to take on Braun Strowman in a WWE ring at the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view, and while the boxing superstar is preparing, his promoter acknowledged that the upcoming match was very risky for Fury.
Speaking to Metro, Frank Warren – Fury’s promoter – said that while Fury is a big fan of appearing on WWE, he is a bit worried due to injuries Fury has suffered in his last fight. “His profile gets bigger every time and he’s doing us promoters a real favour by going on WWE,” he said. “But truthfully, I don’t like the risk of his cut opening up. Tyson’s a law unto himself. It’s risky though, no doubt about that.”
Warren said that in an “ideal world,” he would prefer that Fury not appear on WWE, but he knows that for Fury and the future, it’s a big deal. “In an ideal world I’d prefer he didn’t do it, but it’s all about the bigger picture for him. He’s a natural wrestling star.”
As Fury prepares to take on Strowman later this month, fans from across the world will tune in to see how both superstars fare in the ring.
