During an interview with ComicBook.com, AEW President Tony Khan discussed the potential initial inductees for the AEW Hall of Fame.

There have been no reports about such a Hall of Fame. He said,

“If we ever do an AEW Hall of Fame, certainly the first two people that come to mind that we would have to honor would be Sting and Mr. Brodie Lee. Two of the greatest champions and two of the greatest people we’ve ever had in AEW, and in very different circumstances. Sting and Mr. Brodie Lee would be great people to build any Hall of Fame class around.”

“Somebody that never got to wrestle in AEW that I also feel very strongly about, who needs to be talked about and honored, is Jay Briscoe. I always wanted to bring Jay into AEW. He was my friend and was friends with a lot of people in the locker room. He was one of the greatest wrestlers I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with and producing for. Jay Briscoe is somebody else who is very important to all of us even though he never actually got the chance to wrestle in AEW.”

AEW President Tony Khan has recently discussed the potential initial inductees for the AEW Hall of Fame. While there have been no official reports about the establishment of such a Hall of Fame, Khan shared his thoughts on who he believes should be honored if it ever comes to fruition.

The first two individuals that come to mind for Khan are Sting and Mr. Brodie Lee. According to Khan, both wrestlers have made significant contributions to AEW and deserve recognition for their achievements. He referred to them as “two of the greatest champions and two of the greatest people we’ve ever had in AEW.”

Sting, a legendary figure in professional wrestling, joined AEW in 2020 and has since made a lasting impact on the promotion. Known for his iconic face paint and charismatic persona, Sting’s presence has added a sense of nostalgia and excitement to AEW’s programming.

Mr. Brodie Lee, also known as Luke Harper during his time in WWE, tragically passed away in December 2020. Despite his short tenure in AEW, Lee made a profound impact on both his colleagues and fans. He was highly respected for his in-ring abilities and his leadership qualities.

Khan also mentioned another wrestler who never had the opportunity to compete in AEW but deserves recognition – Jay Briscoe. Khan expressed his desire to bring Briscoe into AEW, as he considered him one of the greatest wrestlers he has ever worked with. Briscoe’s talent and reputation within the industry make him an important figure to honor, even if he never officially wrestled for AEW.

While the AEW Hall of Fame is still hypothetical at this point, Khan’s comments shed light on the individuals he believes should be considered for induction. Sting and Mr. Brodie Lee’s contributions to AEW have undoubtedly left a lasting impact on the promotion, making them strong candidates for future recognition. Additionally, Jay Briscoe’s talent and influence make him a deserving figure to be honored, despite not having the opportunity to compete in AEW.

As AEW continues to grow and establish itself as a prominent force in professional wrestling, the potential establishment of a Hall of Fame would provide an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and legacies of its most influential figures. Whether or not the AEW Hall of Fame becomes a reality, the contributions of Sting, Mr. Brodie Lee, and Jay Briscoe will undoubtedly be remembered and appreciated by fans and colleagues alike.
