In a recent episode of the notable “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Tommy Dreamer shared his thoughts about The Hardys’ period in AEW and their culminating spell in WWE. He nostalgically recalled the audience’s electrifying response to their memorable comeback at WrestleMania 33 in 2017.
Here are some notable comments from the podcast:
Discussing The Hardys in AEW, Dreamer said, “When Matt made his AEW debut, it should have been monumental, but it happened during the pandemic. Then Jeff appeared, which was pleasant, but immediately faced criticism, for making symbolic hand gestures… Jeff had his moments, but soon, critics were saying that The Hardys were not being handled correctly. And then Matt resurfaced in TNA with his Broke character. Fans were excited to see this portrayal which they adore.”
Reminiscing about The Hardys’ return at WrestleMania 33, Dreamer exclaimed, “The return of The Hardys at WrestleMania remains, in my opinion, the biggest cheer in wrestling history, especially for a WrestleMania event.”
The Hardys rejoined TNA Wrestling earlier this year, clinching the title of reigning TNA World Tag Team Champions.
