Prichard said, “Timing kids, timing. It’s all about timing, wrong place, wrong time. I think that could have been one of those that you build up for years before you finally do it. They were in that same kind of era too.”

Lesnar left WWE after losing to Goldberg at WrestleMania XX in 2004. Batista became a main event Superstar after beating Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXI.

When Batista returned to WWE in early 2014, Lesnar was already back in the company at that point, but The Animal quit in the summer following a short-lived reunion of Evolution.

In the world of professional wrestling, dream matchups between two legendary superstars are always a topic of discussion among fans. One such dream matchup that never came to fruition is between Batista and Brock Lesnar. WWE executive Bruce Prichard recently discussed this dream matchup on his podcast, “Something To Wrestle With.”

Both Batista and Lesnar rose to prominence during WWE’s Ruthless Aggression Era, but unfortunately, their paths never crossed in the ring. Prichard attributes this missed opportunity to timing, stating, “Timing kids, timing. It’s all about timing, wrong place, wrong time. I think that could have been one of those that you build up for years before you finally do it. They were in that same kind of era too.”

The timing issues arose due to the career trajectories of both superstars. Lesnar left WWE after a loss to Goldberg at WrestleMania XX in 2004, while Batista became a main event superstar after defeating Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXI.

When Batista made his return to WWE in early 2014, Lesnar had already re-entered the company. However, Batista’s second stint with WWE was short-lived as he quit in the summer following a brief reunion of the Evolution faction.

The potential matchup between Batista and Lesnar would have undoubtedly been a spectacle for fans. Both superstars possess incredible strength, athleticism, and charisma, making them two of the most dominant forces in the wrestling world.
