“Yeah, look, Jindrak being in the group was for the same reasons that Batista ended up in the group. The only difference was the feeling among everyone in the group, but also everyone else, was who had it. Who truly had the potential to be the next big thing? I think in each opportunity, Mark [Jindrak] didn’t really display that. I don’t know that Mark had the killer instinct in him, Dave did.”

He continued, “It was also a matter of how those guys worked together. Dave had worked with Ric before, so there was already a bond there. I think Mark was kind of the odd man out that didn’t seem to fit. So it was quickly changed and I also think it was one of those situations where, how do guys gel? If you don’t gel, it ain’t gonna work. I don’t think that Mark really gelled with the other three. Dave, immediately did.”

In a recent episode of his podcast “Something to Wrestle With,” Bruce Prichard shed light on the decision to include Batista in the Evolution faction instead of Mark Jindrak. Triple H had previously mentioned that Jindrak was initially intended to be part of the group.

Prichard explained that both Jindrak and Batista were considered for the role based on their potential to become the next big thing in professional wrestling. However, the consensus among the group and others involved was that Batista displayed more promise and had the killer instinct required for success.

One factor that played a role in the decision was the chemistry between the group members. Batista had previously worked with Ric Flair, which created a bond between them. On the other hand, Jindrak seemed to be the odd man out and didn’t fit well with the other three members. This lack of cohesion led to a quick change in plans.

Prichard emphasized the importance of how well individuals gel together in a group. If there is no chemistry, the group dynamic is likely to suffer. In this case, Batista immediately clicked with the other members, while Jindrak did not.

The podcast episode provides insight into the decision-making process behind Batista’s inclusion in Evolution and sheds light on the factors that contributed to Jindrak’s exclusion. It offers wrestling fans a behind-the-scenes perspective on the formation of one of WWE’s most iconic factions.
