Kenny Omega made a special appearance during Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Unfortunately, he was attacked by The Elite.
Omega discussed his battle with diverticulitis and mentioned how fortunate he was to have shown up when he did, as he was just 24 hours away from being in danger. He explained that he is determined to continue fighting to return to the ring.
Omega also spoke about his role as Executive Vice President of AEW and The Young Bucks, who have been granted certain executive powers in the absence of AEW CEO Tony Khan.
Omega criticized The Elite for misuse of power, prompting Kazuchika Okada’s appearance. The former AEW World Champion hinted at a future match between the two, but Jack Perry attacked him from behind before anything could happen.
Omega retaliated by hitting Perry with a snap dragon suplex, but Okada prevented him from hitting a V-Trigger. Perry then used a chair to strike Omega in the stomach.
The Young Bucks soon arrived and executed an EVP Trigger on Omega. After FTR rescued him, The Cleaner had to be taken out on a stretcher. Unfortunately, The Young Bucks attacked FTR and overturned the stretcher.

Meanwhile, Jack Perry commented on The Elite’s attack on Kenny Omega following Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
AEW posted a digital exclusive of Perry commenting on the attack. He said,
“Kenny Omega, is this the best that you got? You know, you’re not as bad as you think you are. But I hope that you had fun, hitting all your old moves in your hometown for what’s probably the last time in your entire life.
he thing that hurts me the most, Kenny, is that you were not the hero that we needed you to be. When it came down to it, you were a coward, like everybody else. The truth is, The Elite doesn’t need you anymore. Neither does AEW. Because we are going to change the world without you. We all have to sacrifice, and you just made yours.”
