Cody Rhodes opens the show. Roman Reigns has said a lot tonight. He gets a cheap pop for Pat McAfee and Michael Cole. Roman has previously called Cody a politician. He would double down and say he was making promises he couldn’t keep. This city knows more than any other that when he makes a promise, he keeps it. He has been attending fans bachelor party’s, kid’s parties, and he got the children’s wrestling club to both nights of WrestleMania. Cody is always here and talks like he does because the champion isn’t here.
Clearly, he respects the Tribal Chief, but he screwed him out of his dream, and therefore hates his guts. Reigns must hate him, too, because he and The Rock can’t have this wankfest that they wanted at WrestleMania. Rhodes asks the fans for something back. Heading in to the biggest tag team match, will they ride with him? And on April 7th against Roman Reigns, will they fight with him? Cody asks the fans to point to the WrestleMania sign with him. The Rock appears!
There is a long stare down. He puts his hands behind his back, says something to Cody without a microphone, and then walks away. After the commercials, Jackie Redmond asks The Rock what he said, and he says to ask Cody Rhodes.
