During a recent guest appearance on ‘The Bobbycast’ podcast, professional wrestler “Stone Cold” Steve Austin shared that he will be undergoing knee replacement surgery in the not too distant future. This is due to a series of ongoing complications with his knee.

Steve Austin unfortunately suffered knee injuries before his professional wrestling career. He attributed these injuries to the time he spent playing college football. As his career in wrestling developed, he became famous for always sporting large knee braces.

The wrestling superstar recalled a particular event during his junior year at North Texas State University, “Running down on kickoff during a game, I took a hit from the opposition and subsequently went down hard on my knee. The pain, unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. Resulting from this intense fall, I tore my ACL right in the middle leaving the edges raggedy. The doctors decided not to repair it considering the strength of my quads and hamstrings at the time. Rapidly, that one decision led to the ultimate deterioration of my knee. I’ve had ACL and PCL ligaments from donors implanted in my knee ever since. My left knee is definitely due for a replacement now.”

On an entirely different note, during another podcast, ‘The Headlock,’ fellow wrestler Bo Dallas relayed his experience with the special Wyatt edition of WWE 2K24. He uses the game as a way to reverence his late brother Bray.

Bo revealed his feelings about the game and the opportunity to honor his brother, saying, “Words fail me. Every component of this journey, each step I’ve taken, has had the purpose of celebrating my brother’s life and ensuring his legacy continues. The privilege of being able to carry on his vision, his character, beyond his absence, is more significant than anything else. It’s both an honor and a blessing. My primary focus now is keeping this momentum going, as it’s also the driving force behind my own progress.”
