Typically, WWE main roster talents remind us of their superiority when they face NXT talents. Yet, this time, Chelsea Green, the current WWE Women’s United States champion, was taught a humbling lesson that skills in the NXT division should not be underestimated.
During the latest NXT episode, Green and Piper Niven, her exclusive security member, took to the ring in a tag team match against Sol Ruca and Zaria. This came after a face-off between the two teams during the last week’s episode.
In a surprising event, after a blow from Sol Snatcher that caused Green’s nose to bleed, Ruca surprisingly managed to knock Green out and secure a pinfall victory.

It’s not uncommon or unexpected to see WWE create scenarios where Zaria pins Niven to avoid the champion’s defeat. However, Ruca pinning Green directly could be a sign that a title opportunity for the Women’s United States Championship is in the offing for Ruca. It’s a route often taken after a champion has been pinned.
