As we previously reported here on eWn, Kazuchika Okada is expected to sign with AEW following his NJPW exit last month.

Okada will wrestle his final match for NJPW on February 24.

In a recent interview with Tokyo Sports, WWE Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura weighed in on Okada’s NJPW exit, and hoped that The Rainmaker wouldn’t experience the same hardships he did when he left the Bushiroad promotion.

Nakamura said, How do you view your life, who you are, what you want to become? Only you can make that decision, so the courage to take the step that Okada took…I feel like (Antonio) Inoki when I say it, but once you’ve taken the step, you have no choice but to go on. Of course, I will support him, and if there is anything I can do, I will do it. That’s part of it, and also the invisible procedures. There were a lot of hardships I had to go through that I should not have had to go through. I don’t want them to have to go through that, and I hope they will be spoiled.”

While there is no confirmation that Okada has signed with AEW, Tony Khan has been confident in signing him as far back as mid-January.

Kazuchika Okada’s Potential Move to AEW: What We Know So Far

In the world of professional wrestling, there are few names as revered and respected as Kazuchika Okada. The Japanese superstar has made a name for himself in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), captivating audiences with his incredible in-ring skills and charismatic persona. However, recent reports suggest that Okada may be on the verge of signing with All Elite Wrestling (AEW), marking a significant shift in his career.

According to eWrestlingNews, Okada is expected to make the move to AEW following his departure from NJPW last month. While there is no official confirmation yet, the speculation has been fueled by Tony Khan, the president of AEW, who has expressed his confidence in signing Okada as early as mid-January.

The news of Okada’s potential move has garnered attention from fans and fellow wrestlers alike. One such wrestler is WWE Superstar Shinsuke Nakamura, who recently shared his thoughts on Okada’s NJPW exit in an interview with Tokyo Sports. Nakamura expressed his hope that Okada would not face the same hardships he did when he left the Bushiroad promotion.

Nakamura’s words reflect the challenges that wrestlers often encounter when transitioning between promotions. Leaving behind a familiar environment and stepping into the unknown can be a daunting task, both personally and professionally. Nakamura emphasized the importance of self-reflection and making decisions that align with one’s aspirations and goals.

The WWE Superstar also touched upon the invisible procedures and hardships he faced during his own transition. Nakamura’s experience serves as a reminder that behind the glitz and glamour of professional wrestling, there are often unseen struggles that wrestlers endure. He expressed his desire for Okada to be spared from such difficulties and wished him success in his future endeavors.

If Okada does indeed sign with AEW, it would undoubtedly be a major coup for the promotion. Known as “The Rainmaker,” Okada has been a cornerstone of NJPW for years, headlining numerous high-profile matches and winning multiple championships. His presence in AEW would not only bring a wealth of talent but also elevate the promotion’s standing in the wrestling industry.

AEW has been making waves since its inception in 2019, providing an alternative platform for wrestlers to showcase their skills. The promotion has already signed several notable talents, including former WWE stars such as Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley. Adding Okada to their roster would further solidify AEW’s position as a legitimate competitor to WWE.

As fans eagerly await confirmation of Okada’s signing, it is clear that his potential move to AEW has generated significant buzz and excitement. The wrestling world is abuzz with speculation and anticipation, with fans envisioning dream matches and potential storylines involving Okada and AEW’s top stars.

While the future remains uncertain, one thing is for sure – Kazuchika Okada’s talent and star power are undeniable. Whether he ultimately signs with AEW or chooses a different path, his contributions to the world of professional wrestling will continue to be celebrated and cherished by fans worldwide.
