WWE Superstar Sheamus is at the Daytona 500 today where he is serving as the special guest pace car driver. He did a Q&A session before the race and Jon Alba asked him how he gets himself in the mindset to perform in front of a large crowd like the drivers will do today.
Sheamus said that for his first WrestleMania in Phoenix against Triple H, the noise hit him when he made his entrance and it was something he could not prepare for. He said, “When you get through the initial situation of taking everything in, you just go on autopilot.”
Sheamus said the first few minutes are nerve-wracking like it will be for the NASCAR drivers but then tunnel vision sets in. “Even to this day after all of those WrestleMania’s everytime I go out there it is a new experience.” You can see the full response below.
I had a question for former #WWE Champion Sheamus about the #Daytona500. But before I could ask it, he hijacked the question and turned it into a conversation about our hair.
It was the best press conference of my life. pic.twitter.com/qanhumrn4c
