After Charlotte Flair appeared on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW to take some more shots at NXT’s Rhea Ripley, the NXT Women’s Champion took to social media to respond.
In a series of tweets aimed at Flair, Ripley seemed incredibly upset at the notion that she is entitled, recounting how she’s had to struggle to get where she is in the world. Ripley then took a huge shot at Flair, claiming that she didn’t get her WWE contract just because of her last name.
I’ve nearly lost my job because a handful of people didn’t believe in me.
I’ve been pulled out of class each and every day for months to be yelled at and told that I’m not doing well enough.
I’ve sat in offices just to be told that I’m failing and “bringing others down with me”.— RheaRipley_WWE (@RheaRipley_WWE) February 18, 2020
In the series of tweets, Ripley also recounted how she nearly quit wrestling on several occasions, but didn’t want to be a quitter. According to her, she’s “worked 7 and a half years to be where” she is now, and won’t be letting anyone stand in her way. With the two continuing to feud and a WrestleMania 36 match on the horizon, it’s clear these two will be going at it heavily as we get closer to their match.
I’ve nearly quit on multiple occasions… But then I remind myself, that I am not a quitter!…
