WWE is back in business, as the company has returned to the road. Now, a new report suggests that the company is returning to Saudi Arabia.

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast and the Wrestling Observer reports that WWE plans to hold a show in Saudi Arabia in October, barring travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He suggested the date will be October 21, but he has not “double confirmed” this specific day.

Hearing from source:

WWE will be returning to Saudi Arabia in October.
(If there are no restrictions at that time)

WWE last held a show in Saudi Araba with its Super ShowDown event on February 27, 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic had prevented the company from holding shows on the road, let alone overseas, but now that the company is hosting live events again, it was only a matter of time before a return was arranged. The company’s new deal with the Saudi General Entertainment Authority mandates two large events to be held in Saudi Arabia every year through 2027.

WWE has already announced its first trip back to the United Kingdom.

WrestleZone will provide more details as they become available.
