Report: Davey Boy Smith Jr. And Brian Pillman Jr. Plan To Complete Their MLW Contracts
Despite some contractual concerns with a few top stars, Major League Wrestling is preparing to return from its hiatus. MLW will film new content for its restart next month, and two of the company’s most recognizable names will reportedly stay with them for the duration of their contracts. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, though Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Brian Pillman Jr. have both requested their release, they’ll be involved with the company’s upcoming tapings. “Despite having contractual issues with MLW and asking for his release, Davey Boy Smith Jr informed Fightful that he does intend to fulfill his contractual obligations and appear at the last couple of tapings before his contract expires,” wrote Ross Sapp. “Brian Pillman Jr will also be appearing, and is under contract until next summer, though he has also asked for his company release.”
In recent months, Pillman has made a few appearances for All Elite Wrestling.
