NXT UK star Eddie Dennis recently spoke with Alistair McGeorge of Metro. In the interview, Dennis reflected on the return of NXT, and he also named a few wrestlers he wants to face in his WWE career. First, Dennis described what it’s like to have Triple H and Shawn Michaels produce the show from afar. ‘’The joke when we were there taping was the “Voice of God”, because when we were there Triple H or Shawn Michaels’ voice would come over the tannoy,'” said Dennis via McGeorge. “‘Obviously if you’re a professional wrestler that’s as close to the voice of God as you can get – HBK’s voice coming over the tannoy,'” said Dennis via McGeorge.
Then, Dennis recapped the time he faced Keith Lee, a former NXT standout who is now starring on WWE Monday Night RAW. “‘I wrestled Keith Lee in a small hall in Cardiff,'” said Dennis via McGeorge. “‘There were people banging the ring skirts halfway through the match. I’d welcome the opportunity to go with someone like Keith again.”
Dennis also named WWE Champion Drew McIntyre and Dominik Dijakovic as two former opponents he’d like to face again during his WWE career. Finally, Denis said his main goal is building up the prestige of the NXT UK brand. “‘In all honesty, for me the primary focus since I signed a contract with WWE is to try and grow the NXT UK brand as far as it can possibly grow,'” said Dennis via McGeorge.
