AEW is set to temporarily lose one of its key broadcast professional owing to an impending medical procedure.
Popular personality, Taz, was seen missing from the recent episode of AEW Dynamite and it turns out, he was not present due to a speculated assault in the parking lot. The narrative suggested that Taz suffered a knee injury, and his progeny, HOOK, was seen making a vow to avenge the assault.
Many believe that these incidents might pave the way for a new storyline involving Christian and HOOK.
Rated wrestling publication, Wrestling Observer Newsletter, conveyed that Taz had to take a break from on-screen appearances to accommodate for his knee replacement operation, impending in the near future.
The narrative goes, “The story was that he was attacked and injured was a cover story because he’ll be out for a while as he’s getting full knee replacement surgery. His knees have been bad for years.”
Previously, Taz had subtly indicated toward his requirement of this surgical procedure but believed in delaying it. As he stepped aside, Nigel McGuinness was seen taking over his role, and served as a commentator alongside Tony Schiavone and Excalibur on the show Dynamite.
