Last night’s WWE SmackDown was filled with exciting matches and backstage production. Fightful Select has released a list of the producers and some interesting behind-the-scenes notes from the show.

The opening promo segment was produced by Michael Hayes. Hayes is a veteran in the wrestling industry and has been involved in various creative roles throughout his career. His expertise in crafting compelling storylines and engaging promos was evident in the captivating start to SmackDown.

Petey Williams, another experienced producer, was responsible for the Holiday Havoc match. Williams is known for his technical wrestling skills and his ability to create high-energy and entertaining matches. His contribution to the Holiday Havoc match surely added to the excitement of the event.

Shawn Daivari took charge of the Butch vs. Dragon Lee match. Daivari, a former professional wrestler himself, has transitioned into a producer role. His knowledge of in-ring psychology and storytelling helped create a thrilling encounter between Butch and Dragon Lee.

Jason Jordan, a former WWE superstar, was the producer for the Kevin Owens vs. Carmelo Hayes match. Jordan’s experience as an in-ring performer allows him to provide valuable insights and guidance to the wrestlers. His involvement in the match ensured a smooth and impactful performance from both Owens and Hayes.

In other news, there were discussions about changing Randy Orton’s theme song, “Voices.” However, the change didn’t go through, and Orton kept the original version. The decision was made after playing the song live in the arena at least once. Orton’s theme song has become iconic over the years, and fans will be pleased to hear that it will remain unchanged.

Additionally, it was revealed that several people on SmackDown were unaware that the WWE Speed concept was being taped until the start of the show. WWE Speed matches are shorter matches designed for social media platforms. This highlights the dynamic nature of WWE’s content creation and their ability to adapt to different platforms and audience preferences.
