In a recent dialogue with Sportskeeda WrestleBinge’s Bill Apter, Orange Cassidy, a distinguished personality in AEW wrestling, shared his observations about the evolution of AEW since its inception in 2019, the climate in the contemporary locker room, and more.
Below are some unforgettable moments from the engaging discussion:
When discussing the journey of AEW since its advent, Cassidy expressed, “AEW was daunting when I first came back in 2019 because the talent was of an exceptional level. I felt that this talent pool doubled each year while improving consistently. I believe we have some of the most legendary professional wrestlers on our roster.”
While discussing the camaraderie in the locker room, Cassidy shared, “The camaraderie in AEW’s locker room is fantastic. Our mission in AEW is to build a community in which every AEW squad member collectively contributes to enhancing each other’s skills. We’re fostering a cooperative environment where we’re not competing to climb over each other to reach the top, but assisting one another on the way up.”
In response to critiques regarding AEW’s attendance numbers, Cassidy said, “We recognize that adjustments are necessary. This is not a challenge that we’re going to encounter just now, it’s just the beginning. We expect encountering various issues during our journey… I have strong faith in the AEW leadership striving to deliver the finest product.”
