Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch Win Tag Belts With Help From Pat McAfee

Tonight’s NXT was supposed to feature an NXT Tag Team Championship match between Undisputed Era and Breezango. However, attacks to both Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong left the group unable to compete, forcing Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch into the match instead. In a shocking ending, Pat McAfee showed up to help Lorcan and Burch win, revealing himself late and mocking the Undisputed Era as the night ended.
Towards the end of the match, things looked bad for Burch and Lorcan. However, a man in a black hoodie and a metallic mask showed up at ringside, knocking Fandango off the top rope and allowing Burch to land a low blow on him while the referee was distracted. With Fandango too hurt to fight back, Burch and Lorcan landed their finisher on him, easily pinning the superstar to become the newest NXT Tag Team Championships.
After the match, the mysterious figure got into the ring, celebrating with the duo before unmasking himself to reveal none other than McAfee. The former NFL player introduced the new champions and mocked The Undisputed Era, hinting that it was him that attacked both Fish and Strong earlier in the night. Now, it’ll be interesting to see just how Undisputed Era responds, and what McAfee does with his new champion friends.

Lorcan tries a dive but Breeze kicks him in the head before he can fly. Burch tosses Breeze over the barricade. Burch gets back in the ring. Fandango hits a falcon arrow followed by a top rope leg drop. Burch kicks out! Breeze gets back in the ring. Lorcan puts Breeze in a single leg crab. Burch adds a crossface. Fandango breaks up the hold. Breeze attacks Burch’s injured knee. Breeze goes up top. Burch cuts Breeze off and hits the Tower of London. Fandango pushes Lorcan into Burch to break up the pin. Breeze and Fandango land double superkicks. While the referee is distracted, someone wearing a mask knocks Fandango off the top. Burch low blows Breeze. Burch and Lorcan hit their finish on Breeze for the win.
