NWA Powerrr has secured a long-term location for its program in Tampa, Florida, within a WEDU-PBS studio. As reported by the Tampa Bay Times, the WEDU facility has been chosen to host the NWA’s weekly series. The forthcoming episodes are arranged to be filmed on dates October 5 and 6.
Back in February 2023, the inaugural NWA Powerrr tapings occurred at the WEDU studio. This arrangement continued and more sessions were conducted in January and April of the current year.
WEDU PBS President and CEO, Paul Grove expressed his enthusiasm towards this collaboration. He stated, “We are thrilled to have the NWA to produce ‘NWA Powerrr’ and hold live matches in our advanced production studios. Working with the NWA team, known for its professionalism, has been gratifying and it’s been great to be a part of Tampa’s dynamic wrestling scene.”
As per Paul Pratt, spokesperson for NWA, “Being associated with WEDU was attractive to us, given the profound history Tampa has with wrestling. The National Wrestling Alliance relies heavily on its remarkable and impactful past, and Tampa is certainly an integral part of that history for us.”
Following the tapings that will make up 12 installments of Powerrr, the NWA aims to include footage from larger locations that will be incorporated with the WEDU tapings. In the following year, the NWA will come back to the studio for their next set of tapings.
