The Hurt Business isn’t finished with Drew McIntyre just yet.
Earlier this year, Bobby Lashley aligned with MVP in an effort to obtain the WWE Championship for the first time in his career. Lashley had an opportunity at WWE Backlash but wasn’t able to get the job done due to interference by his then-wife, Lana. Lashley and MVP, however, continued to grow their relationship and now, The Hurt Business also consists of Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander.

In a new interview with SPORTBible, MVP said that it is still Lashley’s destiny to become WWE Champion but for now, they are pleased with the United States Championship as they continue to make moves and grow their business.
“That title is made for Lashley, it’s supposed to be around his waist. For the time being, we’ll sit tight with the US Championship as we make moves to acquire more gold for my business associates. But Drew is not safe. When you are the WWE Champion, you have an X right on your forehead. Make no bones about it, we’re not done with Drew. Lashley will see him again.”
Drew McIntyre’s next major challenge will come at Hell in a Cell when he faces Randy Orton inside of the namesake structure. The Hurt Business did remain on RAW, however, so there may be a chance that if Drew McIntyre gets out of Hell in a Cell with the WWE Championship intact that he runs into “The Almighty” once again.
